Symbiosis Institute, Pune is one of the premier educational institutes in India. Mr. Shantaram Mazumdar established it 35 years ago, with an aim that students from all over the world could live, study, eat, sing and dance together, here at Symbiosis Institute, Pune and go back as friends and ambassadors of this nation.

Today, Symbiosis Institute, Pune has more than 33 schools, colleges and institutes; spread over 9 campuses in Pune, Nasik and Kolhapur, conducting more than 120 courses for about 90,000 students coming from 33 nations all over the world.

The spirit of Symbiosis is best found in the material form in the Vishwabhavan - a towering 12-storey structure in Pune that houses the international hostel, an Afro-Asian museum, a modern auditorium, conference hall, canteen and cafeteria. Next to the Vishwabhavan are the Symbiosis Health Centre with medical facilities, a modern gymnasium and aerobics and yoga halls.
